After this process, the rice turns Golden, hence the name. The process for parboiled rice begins before the hull is removed. The complete grain of rice is soaked, briefly steamed and dried, then finally the hull is removed to produce golden parboiled rice and this makes sure that all nutrients are retained in each grain. Parboiled rice does not give out much fragrance, enabling you to cook and stir this rice without losing the texture. You just need to simply cook the rice in water till is ready to be taken away from the hob means the rice complements any dish without adding a competing flavour.
